Coping
By Juliette Jeddry
Feb 10, 2009
I am handicapped.
I don't mind.
This is the way God chose
For me to be.
I am handicapped.
I have lots of friends.
We talk, we laugh and
Sometimes we cry.
I am handicapped.
I developed cancer.
I cope, I meet the day with a smile.
I am a survivor.
I am handicapped
With God on my side
And all my friends who care,
I will survive.
Juliette was born on September 1, 1948 in St. Alphonse, Digby County, Nova Scotia. She was handicapped at birth and has never walked or been able to use her hands.
Juliette was only able to attend school for a short time, but in spite of that, she already has co-written two books, one about breast cancer. She cannot even hold a book in her hands.
Juliette was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, 2008. It was a very hard blow for her, but she recovered from the shock quickly and co-wrote a book in order to help others cope with living with cancer.
She is very independent and determined to reach her goals whatever they may be. She is very courageous, having had to deal with living in a wheelchair all her life. She has strong spiritual and personal values and this makes her a wonderful person to know and a great friend to have.
